Texturing exercise - first time using Mari 🤖🌸

For this project, we were given a robot model (not my own) and focused on developing textures. I wanted to explore a contrast between a cute, adorable robot and a darker backstory: its programming malfunctioned, leading to a tragic incident with the family it once cared for, after which it was decommissioned and abandoned.
I experimented with surface wear, dirt, and softer decorative elements like small floral details to create that balance between innocence and something more unsettling.
This was also my first time working in Mari, so it was a great opportunity to learn and experiment with new texturing workflows!
